This tutorial shows you how to easily add navigation drawer, one of the latest Android UI/UX design pattern that has becoming standard in most modern apps, using the powerful ActionDrawer widget.

In this tutorial you will learn how to use the basic features of the ActionDrawer widget:

  1. Default setup: the drawer will be positioned on the left side of the screen and overlaid by the window (including the action bar if exists)
  2. Content overlay: the drawer will be overlaid only by the content view of the acitvity.
  3. Drawer position: changing the position of the drawer to the right side of the screen.
  4. Double drawer: using the ActionDrawer on both the left and right side of the screen.
